PICC - PORT ISAAC COMMUNITY CINEMA

A CINEMA IN PORT ISAAC

In 2019, Port Isaac Village Hall set up PICC - Port Isaac Community Cinema. With a donation from the Doc Martin Fund we were able to buy the equipment to set up our new project.

The first few months of the project have been a learning curve with some huge successes and some hiccups. Low audience numbers meant we were losing money on most films so we have now decided to go down a different route. We have become part of C Fylm - Cornwall's network of community film clubs.

C Fylm supports community venues to screen a season of films for their local audience; offering people across Cornwall the chance to watch great films in their own community, in the company of friends and family, at an affordable price. C Fylm members get access to screenings in all of the 32 active film clubs across Cornwall. To become a member, just go along to any screening, pay £6 for a membership card, and get your first screening for free. C Fylm send you monthly emails including all of the films screening at C Fylm clubs, and you can take your pick!
